Other uses for dill include treatment of fever and colds, cough, bronchitis, hemorrhoids, infections, spasms, nerve pain, genital ulcers, menstrual cramps, and sleep disorders. Drinking dill tea is recommended to overcome insomnia. Dill seed can also be applied to the mouth and throat for pain and swelling (inflammation).

Ruled by the planet Mercury, dill is thought to promote clear and quick thinking, attract love, and ward off evil. Dill is also useful in love charms; Take a dill bath to make yourself irresistible and/or place the seeds in a muslin bag under your shower water, or bath water to make you irresistible to your lover.
