The Wolf is a creature with a high sense of loyalty and strength. Contrary to popular belief the wolf is a social and friendly creature, not a loner. A pack of wolves reflects brotherhood/sisterhood, the idea of sticking up for friends. The Wolf is also an incredible communicator and possesses high intellect; it uses strategies about hunting, habitat, and migration.
In the Celtic tradition, the Wolf is a source of lunar power.
In Asia, the Wolf guards the doors that allow entrance to heavenly, celestial realms.
- In Africa, they are known as jackals. Anubis (Anpu), one of the most iconic god of anciant Egypt was usually depicted as a man with the head of a jackal and alert ears. Anubis was the guardian and protector of the dead. The end is only a new beginning. Quite an interesting way of looking at the essence of a New Year, no?
We're not a fan of New Year's Resolutions, however we believe that a New Year Celebration is also about letting go of the old that no longer positively serves us. It's not a New Year if you don't reset your mindset.
